Five Minute Friday: HERE

Five Minute Friday

Here we write for five minutes - no overthinking, no editing, no worrying that it is just right.  We write for fun, for the stretching and strengthening.  We link up with Lisa-Jo for the community, the fellowship.  Then we comment on the one who linked before us - and as many others as you like - for the love, for the encouragement.  Those are the only rules.

Today we write on:  HERE

Outside the rain falls and mist fills the space between the trees and new leaves pushing there way through new bark.  Inside a little boy plays and I sit in a dark room tapping out my thoughts for you to take in.  All through the house red numbers blink 12:00 at me from the blast of thunder and flash of lightning that for a moment placed us all in the quiet of the other noisemakers.

Here I have my thoughts, my plans for the day, comments from friends swirling through my head and a cup of Hershey syrup infused coffee growing cold because I forgot about it.  It's decaf anyway.  I've forgotten to buy coffee for 3 days now.  How I am surviving is a mystery and God's good graces that keeps me going when I can hardly keep myself going.

Here is a bit of a mess.  I took on Tsh's challenge of shelves in the office yesterday and went top down.  The shelves are amazing.  The floor?  Well, that is the down isn't it.  That's this afternoon's project.  I found photos, and late forms and my here is in a pile somewhere.

Time
* The desk and computer have also been cleaned.  The floor, not so much.  Just keeping it real, folks!

    1. Thanks! Part of my motivation is that we are moving in about 2 months. That and I'm a little tired of the chaos. :) Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a blessed weekend as well.

    2. I just went to your blog, but couldn't comment. Very convicting to me. I'd love to know where you are living. I take way too much for granted in this life!

  2. Thanks for the great blog reference - I will definitely be checking out ways to simplify my "here" too.

I loved this post - it was so very honest and relatable. I tend to make big messes when I organize and clean too. But isn't that how life works? With everything we "down-size" or simplify in our personal life, we are having to cut out something else. Sometimes it is wasted time, but sometimes it is people or commitments. Sometimes it gets messy in the process. Good luck to you on this project! So glad to have found you through FMF.

    1. Oh, you will love Tsh's site if you've never been before. She is amazing. The Nester is another great one. She always says that saying yes to one thing is an automatic no to something else. So glad you stopped by. You are welcome anytime.

  4. Awesome... however this made me afraid to go look into that challenge! I am sure that must mean I really SHOULD go look at the challenge though, right? And girl.... no coffee for THREE days - and you're not even fasting it on purpose? Wow!

    1. The challenge is not intimidating at all. Definitely go have a look. And I did have some coffee from Einstein yesterday after a dr. appt. I forgot about that.:)

  5. I think if I took Tsh's challenge I'd just throw it all away or have a huge yard sale. So tired of it all. And girl, do I need to order you some Avodah or something? How ARE you surviving?
