One Word 2013 – CREATE

This year I am choosing to focus on ONE WORD instead of making a list of resolutions or goals – that I will inevitably forget about or see as overwhelming.

Words can overwhelm us and drive us into procrastination, but ONE WORD can be straightforward.  The word may have many facets that will apply to many aspects of life.  This is the case for my ONE WORD.

This year I want to CREATE every day.
CREATE order

CREATE beauty

CREATE community

CREATE peace

CREATE plans

CREATE gifts

Much of this creating will require learning: skills, discipline, crafts, and methods.  This will be another year in which AMY LEARNS!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What are your plans for the New Year?  Have you set goals or chosen one word as your focus?  Please share them in the comments.

I’d love for you to subscribe and join me throughout my year of CREATE.

Thanks so much to dear, sweet Melanie at Only A Breath for my beautiful ONE WORD graphic.  Need a button?  She’s offering them as a free gift.

    1. Reading others' recaps from the last year has been interesting. I think this will end up being about something entirely different than what I have envisioned. I'm excited about the unveiling as well.

    1. I love how something that seems so small can turn into something so significant. This seems so much more doable and open to more opportunity at the same time.

    1. Cool! I need to go back and read more of the others. I will do the same. I had to have the other words because the whole act of creation has already been done! :)

    1. Thank you. I probably should've added momentum as a second word. I hope I can keep it going for the whole year.

  11. I love that you have extended your plans for this word to include more than just tangible things. When I saw 'create', I thought about how I wish I was creative, but I guess we all are creative in our own way. It may not be art, but we can create. Great word choice.

    1. Thank you! We are all creative; it's in our nature as were are created in the image of a creative God. I'm so sorry that I am just now replying. I didn't realize until today that this comment had ended up in my spam folder for some reason.
