Sharon was my “partner
in crime” for many trips into Manhattan.
By “crime” I mean shopping and eating – mainly cupcakes and
chocolate! Lots of cupcakes and chocolate! So much fun together!
They came to visit us
in Chicago on my birthday – yes, Virginia, there was Chocolate!! (Fannie Mae’s)
and Cupcakes! (Sprinkle’s) We take our
treats seriously.
Since our separation
she has stepped out of her comfort zone in ways I would have never
guessed. She is a card carrying member
of the DAR, lives on Roosevelt Island – literally, Main St. NYC – takes acting
classes and works as an extra, and has become an entrepreneur! She is also one of the kindest and most
generous people you will ever meet. Her love
for the Lord is absolutely infectious! In
fact, she was the one who challenged me to read straight through the Bible for
the first time. The challenge wasn’t verbal;
it was from witnessing her life and how many times she had done it. People, you want this girl in your corner!
As an added bonus for
you, my dear readers, I am having an online trunk show for Stella & Dot
hosted by my friend Sharon. I am also having a GIVEAWAY OF A FABULOUS PIECE OF
STELLA & DOT JEWELRY!! I’m excited
that this is my very first giveaway and Sharon is part of that. Read a little more here:
I will be celebrating my first year as an
entrepreneur with Stella & Dot and I'll be truly celebrating what a
wonderful company I work for and the fun job I have!
October is a special month for Stella &
Dot because we have partnered with the Noreen Fraser Foundation in supporting
research for women's cancers. Last year's net proceeds for the sales of
the Tribute bracelet brought in $120,000 for breast cancer research! This
year there are 5 items for sale for which the net proceeds go
to the Noreen Fraser Foundation.
The Stella & Dot Foundation is a permanent initiative that supports 3 charities for women and children. This fall Stella & Dot has premiered its new Foundation bracelets! They are so pretty and cute!
The new holiday collection has finally
arrived! The Courage, Light and Love bracelets are so adorable and only $19!
These would make great gifts for teachers, friends, dog walkers, anyone! There
is truly something lovely for every budget.

I'm obsessed with their bracelets :) The Luna Wrap Bracelet is on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteSeriously pick one thing? Impossible! I did not know they had scarves. I am a huge fan of just about everything. I can't look too much because a necklace for 268 is more than I want to spend...but I can think of how amazing it would look. :). They just have such fun colors and designs. Their stuff is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe scarves are brand new this fall, I believe.
DeleteI LOVE those Secret Garden earrings. But I would be honored to wear the Courage bracelet. Breast cancer is more about courage than hope.
ReplyDeleteI'm learning to love scarves so I checked them out first!! But I also love the Millie necklace!! :)
ReplyDeleteJust one thing???!! Really?? That's impossible. If I had to prioritize, it would probably be the Deco Drop Earrings, just b/c I'm in an earring shopping mood. But the necklaces are awesome, and I'd be proud to wear ANY of their pieces!!
ReplyDeleteI wish we could go earring shopping together. :(
DeleteAdore the Olivia bib necklace!

How do you pick just one thing? There are so many great pieces! I fell in love with several of the bib necklaces and don't even get me started on the bracelets. But if I have to pick one, I would choose the Deco Drop Earrings. They are beautiful and classic. You could pair them with just about anything. I could see them with a little black dress and slammin heels for a night on the town or with jeans and a sweater for staying in and hanging out with friends or your sweetie.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I must admit I'm partial to bracelets. I especially like the leather wrap ones. Didn't pick just one, because I like all of them! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThe RENEGADE CLUSTER BRACELETS have had my attention since they came out. I want them in silver and gold (I can never choose)!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway!

Charms, charms, charms! Or maybe it's a book thing, because I'm totally drawn to the Wonderland and Secret Garden necklaces and bracelets!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific collection.
Thanks for the chance to win a lovely bracelet and also for stopping by and visiting me! I've met so many wonderful folks through Five Minute Friday - an added bonus for sure!
I really like the Serenity Stone earrings!

Yay!! Love your blog! Love you!!!!! And I love all the jewelry...especially the Suzanne cocktail ring in green. Pick me, pick me!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Laurel ring... that's my mom's name. And I could use a ring to cover the thin white line that breaks my heart a little less today than yesterday....
ReplyDeleteOne thing...hmm I love braclets. How about the Prosper Braclet. Mainly because that is my one goal in life- to prosper. Well maybe not. But I do love the braclet.
ReplyDelete(ps great to meet you this past weekend. now we just need time to sit and have a cup of coffee)
