1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no
backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Oh and Ahem, if you would take pity and turn
off comment verification, it would make leaving some love on
your post that much easier for folks! – Lisa Jo
I’m writing
this ahead of time in preparation for what I think will be the most amazing Five
Minute Friday party… EVAH!!!!
By the time
this is posted I will have spent most of Thursday meeting so many “new” friends
and catching up with one old friend.
I’ve spent the last two hours in a room with the fabulous Lisa-Jo and
most all of the ladies that you will find linked up early on for this here word
carnival. There are just too many to name, although we hang out ont Twitter on Thursday nights at #fmfparty. You can find us all there.
I’m sure that
we have hugged, laughed ourselves silly, snacked and consumed waaaay too much
caffeine and sugar. I make no guarantees
what will follow this little introduction.
At this point I obviously have no idea what the word will be. What I do know is that I can hardly stand the
anticipation.
Without further
ado... here are my five minutes on: Voice
I’m losing it. I’m
sitting here surrounded by amazing women.
Amazing writers, but I’m losing it. I’m literally losing my voice from squeals,
and laughter and conversation and tiredness.
But here… with my
fingers I have a different voice.
Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes serious, sometimes angry – usually at myself.
But my voice is what comes through these letters on
screen for you.
You may never hear my accent, my laughter, my twang…
But I hope you do hear my voice, then I hope I lose it.
The voice I really want you to hear is the one that speaks
in the whisper and the breeze, not the hurricane or the mob shouting.
I want you to hear Jesus, calling to your heart to
encourage, to remind, to speak truth
over the lies, to drown them out, to then give breath to your voice.
Then lift it high in praise, in joy, in thanks, even in silliness,
but don't silence it.

Thanks for sharing your voice / His voice. My first FMF and Allume is inspiring.
