It's Monday, the day when we learn how to DO GOOD in this world in easy ways. Today it's shoes!
I hate shoe shopping, there I said it. I love shoes, but not the shopping for
them. I have notoriously difficult feet
to fit. Can you say 9 ½ Narrow? The high
point on my foot is in the wrong place. My
ankles don’t cooperate very well with boots or sandals. However, when the planets align and I do find
those perfect shoes, WATCH OUT!!!
This, my friends, is what we classify as a FIRST WORLD
PROBLEM!
What if it didn’t matter whether the shade of pink was
just right? What if the heel wasn’t
exactly what you were looking for?
What if you had no shoes at all and it actually was a matter
of life and death? Or at least serious
illness or injury? What if your child
had no shoes? What if going to school
depended on having shoes?
These, my friends are REAL PROBLEMS!
Remember my first world problem? These fit perfectly and are so comfortable,
way more supportive than I imagined with the flat sole. I’ve got my eyes on some cute wedges, and I
can feel good knowing I’ll DO GOOD if I get them.
Go check them out if you’re looking for that perfect
little summer go everywhere shoe. Look
around their website and see how you can get involved. There are other ways to help and we’ll talk
about them later.
How do you do good when shopping? Have a tip for me? Leave it in the comments. I’d love to learn more.
How beautiful on the mountains are the
feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
Isaiah 52:7
Cute!!! And of course wonderful. I have been hearing much about Toms, but wondering if I should jump on the bandwagon or not. I too have very odd shaped feet (bet you didn't know that about me, did you?!!!) :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have you checked out the Hearts4hearts dolls? Might not be on your radar since I doubt they are a high priority for little guy, but I think they are wonderful!
I will definitely check them out. I'm not about being boy-specific on here, hence the first of several posts about shoes. They are completely comfy. If one pair doesn't fit ask if they are the new or old sizing and try the others. Weird, but they are different.
DeleteI just love the mission behind Toms! :)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely makes you feel more inclined to buy from companies that aren't all about themselves. This is such a simple way to make a huge impact on individuals' lives.
DeleteI think there is another style out there called Bob... seriously. Different brand, maybe SKetchers, same idea. I only wish the shoes weren't so expensive. :(
ReplyDeleteThey do, indeed. Think of half the price being for your shoes and the other half paying to ship a pair to a child. That's what I am thinking.
DeleteThose are really cute!
ReplyDeletelol Stacey... Oh I want shoes named Bob.
Then go get you some BOB shoes and feel good about what you've done for someone else. :)
