Do Good Days

I want to set up a regular schedule of postings to help you enjoy the things you love and do good at the same time.  “What kinds of things?” you may ask.  How about chocolate, coffee, shoes… most people have at least heard of TOMS shoes and the work they do. There may be many that we’ll discover as we journey together.

I want to introduce you to companies and organizations that DO GOOD WHILE DOING WELL.  I also want to hear about what you find that we can share.  Some may be old news to you, but I hope you will learn about new ones as well.  I may use phrases that are vaguely familiar; I’ll help define those for you.  I also want to show you how to be an active participant and encourage you to make any change you are capable of making.  Some involve a little monetary sacrifice, others just a little time or inconvenience.  I think we place too high a priority on convenience at the detriment of others.  This can also be a challenge to you.

We’ll start here next week.  I think it entirely appropriate that we start our Monday morning with a GOOD cup of coffee.  I know it is necessary for me, and generally for the health and welfare of those around me.  In the meantime, let me know who or what you are passionate about that also lets you help others at the same time.  Just leave it in the comments below.  Thanks for your input.  We’ll learn about this together.

  3. Ah, we have so much to learn, don't we?!! I love supporting my friend's businesses and entreprenurial efforts. Many of them will sell products to support different causes and I think this is brilliant. My kid's schools always do a hat and mitten drive in the winter. This year, I bought the hats from my friend who crochets. Win-win!
